About Finding Common Purpose:

Finding Common Purpose (FCP) is a national, non-partisan think tank that is advancing a new social contract between institutions and local residents by establishing community dashboards that commit to meeting basic needs and reducing inequities from cradle to end of life.
FCP produces research and tools, creates narrative change, and supports cross-sector. place-based initiatives.

What is a Community Dashboard?

A northstar to align local residents and stakeholders from government, school districts, nonprofit service providers, foundations, and businesses around life outcomes to reduce inequities in a geographic area.

Community dashboards are used to track and analyze data to inform policy and resource decisions, identify service gaps, monitor progress, and reinforce alignment, transparency, and accountability.

The Role

After 18 months of developing Finding Common Purpose, the initiative is seeking a project director for 20+ hours a week to move forward the day-to-day activities under the supervision of the founder, Andrew Wolk.

Location & Salary:

Andrew Wolk is based in Boston, Massachusetts; the Project Director can be based anywhere in the United States. This contract role is approximately 20 hours a week, with an hourly rate in the range of $100-$200. The initial contract will be for 6 months, with review after 3 months to determine whether there is a good fit and both parties would like to continue. If mutually agreeable, there is the opportunity for this to become a salaried position with benefits.
